A luxury chateau in the Lot-et-Garonne with breathtaking views of sunflower fields and countryside. This twin tower house is decorated to an extremely high standard, and a stay here includes maid service. You’ll be wowed by the large swimming pool and the stunning pool house, a beautifully restored barn with table tennis and covered lounging areas.

In the farmhouse there are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, sleeping 11 adults. (Plus there are two extra slide out beds from single beds, that could be ideal for extra children.)

There is a 2 bedroom gite with a sitting room and lovely terrace that sleeps 6 adults. Each room has a double bed and a single bed.

Gite 1 is a 1 bedroom stand alone cottage with a double bed, with 2 little terraces.

The studio gite has a sweet private terrace with its own large bathroom.

The house and the gites are around a saltwater Romanesque swimming pool, surrounded by a beautiful garden wall. The farmhouse house is set up on a hill in six acres of grounds with views for miles across an unspoilt valley. Next year there should be sunflowers in the first field.

We’re a 25 min walk to Chateau Lacanaud, or a 3 mins drive, or a 10 min cycle. We have some bicycles for guest use, a table tennis table, swing set, dart board, a pétanque pitch, and there are plans for a tennis court that maybe in by August!

The property is a 3 minute drive into Eymet, or a very picturesque 25 minute walk along Route de Saints Marthe, a quiet lane through farmland with lovely views.

One of our favourite boutique hotels in the area just so happens to be located in our family's home village of Trémolat. An absolute haven, we love to wander down to enjoy their lunchtime 5 course tasting menu ('Tapas Menu') or for morning coffee in their exquisite gardens. Happily, you can stay here, too. 

The benefit of being in Trémolat is that you will have the Dordogne river and the 'plus beaux villages' on your doorstep, surrounded by chateau after chateau on every meander bend as you wind your way towards Domme. If you are lucky, Mum and Dad might also invite you up for a glass of pink fizz!

Poised amid pristine Périgord countryside, this 17th-century château is now the stuff French holidays are made of. There's a regional restaurant which offers cookery classes, wine sessions and visits to local markets. The historic town of Bergerac is only a short distance away and there are bike tours for exploring the rest of the area. A sunken pool, tennis courts and a nine-hole golf course wait to entertain you on return – and you can even sink wine from the château's own vineyards.
